Welcome to Delta Secondary School

The end of the school year, as always, brings a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of excitement.   I know that both students and staff are looking forward to relaxing over the summer holidays.

As I reflect upon the past year at Delta Secondary, I am amazed at all that is accomplished by our staff and students.  Our students excelled in academic achievement, athletics, drama, art and music.  They participated in many social responsibility initiatives and helped people less fortunate than themselves in our community.  I would like to congratulate all our students and staff for making Delta Secondary a great place for learning, working, and having fun.  I would also like to thank our amazing staff for their continued involvement with our students.  Many of them willingly gave up time at home with their families so that our students could participate in school activities.

Congratulations to Ms. Elaine Collins, Mr. Dave Fraser, Mr. Ray Mar, Mr. Jim Morrison and Ms.. Barb Shoemaker who are retiring this year after working in the Delta School District for many years.  On behalf of our Delta Secondary community, I would like to thank all of them.  They had a huge impact on our students’ lives and will certainly be missed.   I wish them a very relaxing and productive retirement.  Unfortunately several of our other staff members are also leaving us.  I am very appreciative of all of the hard work and dedication of the following staff members and give them my best wishes as they move forward in their teaching careers:  Ms. Shaina Gleicher, Ms. Julianna Kato, Ms. Debbi Munkhamheuang, Mr. Andrew Robson, Mr. Ryan Townsend and Mr. Austin Uzama.

Congratulations to all of our graduates in the class of 2017!  Thank you for all of your efforts and involvement in making our school better for all members of our school community.  On behalf of the staff, I would like to extend my best wishes to all of our graduates as they move forward in their lives as alumni of Delta Secondary!

Finally, I would like to wish all the members of our Pacer community a safe and relaxing holiday and I look forward to seeing you in September.

Ms. Jeanette Beaulieu, Principal
